Signs it’s time for new tyres
Tread close to the wear indicators, cracks or bulges in the sidewall, uneven wear, or vibration at speed. Uneven wear can also point to suspension or alignment issues — we’ll check while the car is here.
What do the numbers on my tyre mean?
Type the size from your tyre’s sidewall and we’ll break it down — width, profile, rim size, load and speed rating. Then check how much tread you’ve got left.
The legal minimum in Victoria is 1.5 mm across the tread (the tread-wear indicators). Wet-road grip drops off well before that.

What's the legal minimum tyre tread in Victoria?
The legal minimum is 1.5 mm across the tread, shown by the tread wear indicators. For safety — especially in the wet — replacing well before that point is recommended.
How often should tyres be balanced?
Have them balanced whenever new tyres are fitted or a tyre is removed from the rim, and if you notice vibration through the steering wheel at speed.
Do you stock tyres for 4WDs and performance cars?
We supply all types of tyres — passenger, SUV, 4WD, light commercial and performance. Call us with your tyre size for a price.
Can you repair a puncture?
Many tread-area punctures can be repaired safely. Sidewall damage can’t be repaired and the tyre will need replacing.
