How do I know if my engine needs a rebuild?
Signs include heavy oil consumption, blue or white exhaust smoke, low compression, knocking from the bottom end, or coolant and oil mixing. We diagnose first — sometimes a targeted repair is all that’s needed.
What are the signs of transmission problems?
Slipping, delayed or harsh gear changes, shuddering, warning lights, fluid leaks, or a burning smell. Getting it checked early can mean a repair rather than a full rebuild.
Is it worth rebuilding an engine or transmission?
It depends on the vehicle’s value, condition and the extent of the damage. We’ll give you honest advice on whether a repair, rebuild or replacement makes the most sense.
